The team at Diffusion is consistently executing impactful campaigns for our growing client portfolio. In 2019, our industry peers at PRSA-NY recognized the team’s incredible work, honoring Diffusion with no less than 4 Big Apple Awards for our work with Electron Wheel, Canary, the USA TODAY NETWORK and Ghostery.

Ahead of the launch of Electron Wheel’s Gen 2 Wheel and Google Assistant integration, Diffusion successfully coordinated the execution of a cross-country bike ride using the wheel, ending at the Consumer Electronics Show. The #RideToCES event earned Diffusion and Electron a Big Apple Award in the Events & Observances (More Than Seven Days) category. As a result of the campaign, Electron Wheel experienced a 37% increase in pre-order volume, more than doubling original goals.

Diffusion, together with smart home security brand Canary, won a Spotlight: Video award for Celebrating the First Week of Motherhood: Canary’s Mother’s Day Campaign. The team created a touching video celebrating the first days of motherhood – all filmed using Canary smart home cameras. The campaign generated more than 23.5M+ unique impressions, with Canary reporting a 50% uplift in device sales around Mother’s Day.

For Ghostery, a browser extension that blocks third-party data-tracking technologies, Diffusion took home both an honorable mention and a fourth win. Diffusion helped establish Ghostery as a leading market solution and champion of consumer privacy. Key media coverage appeared in Business Insider, Bloomberg, BuzzFeed, and Wall Street Journal, alongside notable op-ed placements with Fortune and MediaPost.

Together with the USA TODAY NETWORK team, Diffusion took home the coveted Best Partnership award from the In-House Communications Group. From Kate Ryan, Diffusion’s U.S. managing director: “From day one, the USA TODAY NETWORK team has treated Diffusion like a valued partner, and that has allowed our senior teams to work honestly and openly as we navigate the breakneck pace of promoting and positioning one of the world’s most iconic media organizations. The partnership that we have with the USA TODAY NETWORK public relations team is an exemplar of what an agency-client relationship should be.”

Diffusion was also shortlisted as a finalist for its work with Burrow to drive mainstream consumer awareness and launch their first physical store.

To top off the evening, the 2019 Big Apple Awards also included the presentation of PRSA-NY’s Exceptionals Under 35 awards. Diffusion US MD Kate Ryan oversaw this year’s program, which honored 23 of the community’s foremost talent and emerging leaders, including Diffusion US’s own Chief of Staff, Sarah Katz. Kate was also a 2018 recipient of the award.

Continuing the streak of award-winning work this year, Diffusion also took home 2 Hermes Platinum Awards this year, winning in the PR Campaign category for both Burrow and USA TODAY NETWORK.

Congratulations to our teams and clients for their amazing work together!
