Our work
Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging
With its own charging network, Mercedes-Benz is setting new standards for fast, convenient, environmentally friendly and reliable charging of electric vehicles, while at the same time helping to increase the acceptance of electric vehicles in the U.S. market. Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging opened its inaugural charging site in November 2023 as part of an initial $1 billion investment to elevate the public charging experience. Since, it has made rapid progress in opening more than a dozen additional locations across the Southeast, all equipped with 400 kW speed chargers.
By the end of the decade, Mercedes-Benz plans to build over 2,500 charging points at a minimum of 400 stations across North America. Together with its joint venture partner MN8 Energy, a leading company in the field of renewable energies and operator of solar energy and battery storage systems in the USA, Mercedes-Benz will invest more than one billion U.S. dollars in this project. By the end of 2030, Mercedes-Benz’s own charging network is expected to comprise more than 2,000 charging hubs globally, with over 10,000 charging points in the U.S., Europe, China and other core markets.
Brief & Approach
Diffusion is tasked with highlighting how Mercedes-Benz is investing into DCFC infrastructure across North America to deliver a quality-first experience defined by convenience, speed, and reliability. This will be achieved by crafting narratives that break through a wide array of media spanning top-tier business, consumer lifestyle, automotive and EV trades, and local and regional verticals. The campaign will build a robust thought-leadership profile for the brand’s executives and will spotlight the company’s new products and location openings through an always-on earned media approach, awards and event support.
