Our work
Neoline Wind-Powered Shipping
Sea cargo transportation is responsible for almost 3% of global greenhouse gas emissions and reducing the carbon footprint of supply chains is one of the toughest climate challenges of the 21st century facing many brands. Neoline is a shipping company that’s taken on the challenge of how the sea cargo industry can improve energy efficiency and minimise emissions. It’s solution, is the Neoliner Origin, an innovative new wind-powered vessel launching in 2025.Â
Following extensive R&D, the Neoliner Origin has been optimised to drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions compared to other vessels of its type, making energy savings through a reduction in speed and harnessing the power of the wind to comprise a large majority (between 60 and 70%) of its propulsion. In so doing, the Neoline is helping to reduce the carbon footprint of international maritime cargo and drive shipping decarbonisation efforts.
Brief & Approach
Diffusion will be working on the launch of the Neoliner Origin’s maiden voyage across the Atlantic, set for mid-2025 with partnerships already secured to carry cargo from leading brands including Clarins, Renault, Longchamp, yacht maker Beneteau and lifting equipment supplier Manitou.
Alongside this, Diffusion will be implementing a strategic communications campaign to demonstrate that a new, more efficient model for ocean shipping is possible and ensuring that the company is seen as a key voice in driving the debate to promote more sustainable maritime transport and logistics operations. The international media campaign will also use thought-leadership to target logistics and sustainability managers at leading brands, who are increasingly tasked with decarbonising their supply chains.
