In March 2016, Diffusion proposed a daring idea to long-term client CyberLink to promote the latest iteration of its flagship media playback software, PowerDVD 16. We’re no strangers to product launches, and we’re also no strangers to big creative ideas that deliver results for our clients—which is why we recommended and coordinated the near-impossible feat of breaking the Guinness World Record for binge-watching television for 94 hours straight.
The campaign tied the launch of PowerDVD, a player used to consume media, with the most popular millennial trend of media consumption: binge watching, and results speak for themselves with more than 200 pieces of coverage across publications such as Variety, Vice, Tech Insider, People, Time, USA TODAY and others.
In February 2017, the campaign was honored with an In2 Sabre Award for best technology campaign, an industry hallmark of recognition and innovation.
