Seqera Labs, the leading provider of data orchestration software for the global life sciences community, has appointed global communications agency, Diffusion, to showcase its work improving the way researchers share and analyse scientific data. One application of this was during the pandemic, where its software played a key role in tracking and monitoring the different variants of Covid-19 (Alpha, Delta and Omicron).
Trusted by thousands of organisations including AstraZeneca, Janssen Pharmaceuticals and Oxford Nanopore to name a few, Seqera Labs’ products help companies manage their large-scale data pipelines across their choice of cloud whilst enabling collaboration, boosting productivity, reducing cost and complexity and simplifying regulatory compliance. Its products are used to help tackle the biggest issues in healthcare today, including developing personalised immunogenic vaccines, new diagnostics, ML-based image processing, and population genomics.
Seqera Labs is growing rapidly and has recently secured €22 million in Series A funding. The Series A follows a period of strong growth, with a 400% year-over-year revenue increase and a tripling of employees over the last 12 months.
Diffusion’s PR programme will consist of a thought leadership campaign and supporting the advocacy of Evan Floden, Seqera Labs’ CEO, for improving the quality of data available in the biotech industry. The thought leadership campaign will reach a wider tech audience outside of the global scientific community to help highlight Seqera Lab’s role in major scientific discoveries. The programme will amplify Seqera Labs’ voice on more key industry issues and Diffusion will develop creative campaigns focusing on the most promising – and most needed – areas of pharma research and drug discovery.
Noel Ortiz, Director of Growth & Marketing, Seqera Labs comments: “The appointment comes at a pivotal time as the need for software which can accommodate the use of vast and complex data sets in scientific discovery booms. At Seqera Labs, we are helping businesses – no matter the size – to use data to help to improve the quality of human life. From the offset, Diffusion understood our business and the industry we work in. It was clear that Diffusion has strong sector experience, industry knowledge and the ability to capture the attention of our desired audience.”
Ivana Farthing, Managing Director UK, Diffusion added: “Seqera Labs is democratising access to data and speeding the process of scientific discovery – allowing companies to innovate at a much faster rate. At Diffusion, our previous results working with innovative companies have demonstrated how both company and agency can thrive working with high growth companies who are disrupting a sector and making a real impact. We’re pleased to be working with an industry wavemaker and, through our thought leadership programme and creative campaigns, will work to reinforce their already impressive presence in the pharma industry.”
