Diffusion has been appointed by Cognassist, the leading platform for cognitive assessment, to help champion neurodiversity in educational institutions and businesses. Cognassist helps people identify hidden learning needs and arms them with the tools to help them reach their full potential, providing essential support and personalised learning to individuals, as well as neurodiversity training for organisations to help improve retention and attainment rates.

Cognassist works with over 100 of the UK’s leading employers, universities, colleges and learning providers including Holland & Barrett, YMCA, London South Bank University, West Lancashire College and the Department for Education. Its cognitive assessments have supported over 70,000 people across the country and the business was recently ranked one of the top 70 fastest growing tech firms in the UK.

Diffusion has been selected as Cognassist’s retained PR and communications agency following a competitive pitch, and will help the brand champion its mission to help every learner reach their full potential. Diffusion’s campaign will focus on a series of creative initiatives to raise awareness of neurodiversity and the important benefits that diversity brings to organisations.

The campaign strategy has been designed to reach Cognassist’s core audience of businesses, apprenticeship providers and educational institutions, and will include a mixture of thought leadership, events, influencer engagement, reactive issues commentary, corporate profiling, case studies and ongoing press office.

Elliott King, Head of Marketing at Cognassist, commented: “We’ve made it our mission at Cognassist to ensure that no learner gets left behind so that people can carry on learning, and improving, at every stage in life. We were attracted to Diffusion due to their issues-based approach, strength of media relationships and fact that they instantly grasped our vision and how we are looking to challenge the status quo and reduce any unfair stigmas that may exist around neurodiversity. At a time where diversity and inclusion are more important than ever before, Diffusion will help position Cognassist at the forefront of a movement to make neurodiversity a top priority for businesses and educational institutions in 2021.”

Giles Barron, Head of Business Services, Diffusion, added: “At Diffusion we’re passionate about doing meaningful work for meaningful brands, and Cognassist is a company that is transforming the future for the better. Their mission to ensure that no learner gets left behind really inspires us and our PR plan has been strategically designed to help champion neurodiversity which, in the context of everything that has happened over the last year, has never been more important than it is in the world today.”
